Edward Rogers is the retired chief development officer-Boy Scouts of America-Alamo Area Council, based in San Antonio. That role capped a 47-year professional career in not-for-profit management which included chief development officer roles with United Way/Capital Area-Austin; St David’s Community Hospital Foundation-Austin; Junior Achievement of the Chisolm Trail-Fort Worth; and UNT Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth.

In retirement Ed has established Simple Senior Benefits-Medicare Advantage and Supplement Plans primarily to serve seniors in Kendall County with informative and life-changing guidance to assist them in selecting their Medicare Advantage or Supplement Plan that best fits their individual health/medical care needs. Ed and his wife Susan have been Medicare beneficiaries themselves since 2014, during which time Ed has become a community resource for explaining the World of Medicare and how it works for our fellow seniors.

Ed is an Eagle Scout, a graduate of Texas A&M University, and its Corps of Cadets, a member of St Peter’s Catholic Parish, and an active volunteer with Cibolo Center For Conservation. He serves as chair of Kendall County Friends of the Night sky, working to keep Boerne The Best Little Night Sky Town in Texas.

Ed is an avid golfer, kayaker, cyclist, and enjoys photography as a hobby. He and his wife Susan reside in Boerne, and are proud parents of one adult son, and grandparents of a four-year old granddaughter.
