Linda Timmerman joined TSHL in 2018.  She holds the Ed.D degree in higher education administration and curriculum design from Texas A&M Commerce.  Her career in community colleges spanned 35 years and included positions as Dean of Academics and Vice President of Institutional Advancement.  Additionally, she wrote the curriculum and coordinated the Dermatology Residency Program at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Currently, Linda is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Voices for Children, serves on the Advisory Board of the Navarro Branch of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Dallas, and is active in her church, St. John’s Episcopal in Corsicana.   She is a past president of the National Council of Instructional Administrators and the Texas Association of Instructional Administrators.  She was appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry and served twelve years (two as President of the Board of Directors) on the Trinity River Authority and three years on the Department of Family & Protective Services Advisory Council.

Linda and her husband, David – also a member of TSHL – live on Richland Chambers Lake in Freestone County.  They have 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and a very spoiled Golden Retriever!
